2024 Election Dates and Information

  • Spring Primary, if necessary- Tuesday, February 20th 2024  (Early in-person absentee voting available February 6 – February 16)

  • Presidential Primary - Tuesday, April 2nd 2024  (Early in-person absentee voting available March 19 - March 29)

  • State Primary - Tuesday, August 13th 2024   (Early in-person absentee voting available July 30 - August 9)

  • Presidential Election - Tuesday, November 5th 2024 (Early in-person absentee voting available October 22 - November 1)

All polling places in Wisconsin must provide accessible voting equipment.  If you are unable to make it into your polling place due to a disability, curbside voting from your car is also available. Please contact your local municipal clerk for details. You can find your clerk at My Vote WI: myvote.wi.gov.

 

Voters with disabilities may also request an absentee ballot be sent to them for every election. If you vote absentee, you may be exempt from photo ID requirements.

 

The Wisconsin Elections Commission has launched a website separate from the former G.A.B. website at http://elections.wi.gov.

 

This website no longer has the detailed information about campaign finance, ethics and lobbying which is now provided about the Wisconsin Ethics Commission: http://ethics.wi.gov.

2024 Spring Election Candidate Information

 

The positions up for re-election are two (2) Trustee at Large positions. Those currently in these positions include:  Trustee at Large, Vanya Koepke;  and Trustee at Large, Tammy Zittlow. For incumbents currently holding municipal offices and not seeking reelection, the deadline to file a Notification of Non-Candidacy (EL-163) is December 22, 2023 at 5 P.M. Ballot Access paperwork must be returned to the Clerk’s Office by January 2, 2024 at 5:00 P.M.

The documents attached include:

 

 

  • Campaign Finance Registration Statement (CF-1L Or CF-1) – New candidates must file this statement before campaign funds are collected or spent or before submitting nomination papers. Continuing candidates must amend their current registration.

 

  • Declaration of Candidacy (EL-162) – Please complete all parts. Please make sure to complete the section on how you wish your name to appear on the official ballot.

 

  • Nomination Papers (EL-169) – You are required to have at least 20 signatures but no more than 100 from qualified electors of the Village of Hobart. It is strongly encouraged to obtain over the minimum in case a signature is deemed unacceptable. Make sure the person signing completes all information.  The circulator certifies the page when it is complete and must be dated after the signatures were gathered. Nomination papers may not be circulated before December 1, 2023.

 

The 2024 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary will be held on April 2, 2024. If 5 or more people return papers for Village Trustee, a primary will be required to be held on February 20, 2024.

Any advertising or signs must have the disclaimer on it:  “Authorized and paid for by (your name)” unless you have a campaign treasurer.

Village of Hobart Clerk’s Office is located at 2990 South Pine Tree Road, Hobart, WI 54155. Office Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Offices are closed December 25 & 26, 2023 and January 1, 2024 for the Holidays. Our offices will be open January 2, 2024 from 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM.
